Safety forces ‘kill’ IS hostage takers in Russian detention centre

Russian safety forces stormed a detention centre in southern Russia on Sunday killing inmates who had taken two members of workers hostage, Russian state information company RIA Novosti reported on Sunday.

The hostages on the pretrial detention centre in Rostov-on-Don had been unhurt, stated RIA Novosti, citing Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service.

It stated that the hostage takers had been “liquidated,” with different native information retailers reporting that at the very least among the prisoners had been killed.

Earlier, state information company Tass, citing unnamed sources, the prisoners embrace males accused of hyperlinks to the Islamic State group.
